Baumholder LakeLocated in the center of Baumholder is the “Stadtweiher” (Baumholder Lake) of about 7 acres. It is a natural lake with a good water quality and it is open for swimming; there is no admission fee. The swimming area is manned by volunteer lifeguards of the local Lifeguard Association “DLRG”. DLRG also organizes activities, festivities, and events around the lake. The lifeguard station can be contacted at Tel.: 06783-5994.
There is a lawn area volleyball, a sandy beach, and a large sandbox for kids as well as a snack bar, toilets and free parking. In the middle of the lake there is a large trampoline that is very popular with young people.
